if these walls could talk

"if these walls could talk"... there are actually only two people on the planet who know who this song was written about, and for now i don't think anyone else needs to know. it's a song about making things better (a somewhat recurring theme on the album? perhaps)

lyrics

your conscientious lies
your broken mirror eyes
like a barricade
like a hurricane
you blow your problems all away

your imperfect memories
your delusional remedies
like amnesia
like a seizure
you're pinned, yeah you're pinned down to the floor

chorus:
if these walls could talk / you know what they would say to us
they would laugh at all the stupid games we play
all alone at night and no one's there to fight
battles with our demons end when we find peace
but you say "peace is gone"

i awoke to find that everything was something else
disturbed by the insanity inside myself
then i looked around and saw the hell we've engineered
and the thoughts that were a fog became so crystal clear
i know it's not an easy road but there's only one
i don't know all that much but i know you're wrong
so let's set things right

chorus
